Last updated: August 15, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to the Dark Moon and Moth Studios storefront, website content, digital products, free resources, newsletters, and related services.

By accessing the storefront or purchasing, downloading, or using our materials, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the storefront or its materials.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to make a purchase or use products requiring adult judgment.

You are responsible for providing accurate information during checkout and for maintaining the security of your account and download links.

3. Digital Products

Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, all products are delivered digitally. No physical item will be shipped.

Product photographs and mockups are illustrative. Colors and appearance may vary between screens, printers, paper, and printing settings.

You are responsible for confirming that your device, software, printer, and preferred paper are suitable for the supplied file format before purchasing.

Payhip generally makes digital files available immediately after a completed transaction and provides a receipt containing a download link. Payhip’s digital-product guidance

4. Personal-Use License

Purchasing or downloading a product grants you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license for personal use only.

You may:

  • Download the files to your personal devices
  • Print reasonable copies for your own use
  • Complete, write in, or adapt printed pages as part of your personal practice
  • Create personal observations, notes, and original work inspired by the prompts

You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, share, sublicense, or give away the original files
  • Upload the files to shared drives, websites, social platforms, file-sharing services, or artificial-intelligence training systems
  • Copy substantial portions into another product or publication
  • Remove copyright notices, branding, or ownership information
  • Use the files as templates for products offered for sale
  • Claim the content, writing, artwork, design, or compilation as your own
  • Print or reproduce the products for groups, clients, classes, organizations, or commercial activity without written permission

Each purchase is licensed to one individual unless the product listing or a separate written agreement expressly grants broader rights.

5. Free Resources

Free downloads remain protected by copyright and are subject to the same personal-use restrictions as paid products.

“Free” means that no purchase price is required. It does not place the material in the public domain or grant permission to redistribute, reproduce, or sell it.

You may share the public product-page link so others can obtain their own authorized copy.

6. Intellectual Property

The storefront and its original content—including text, artwork, illustrations, photographs, graphics, layouts, product designs, logos, names, downloadable files, and compilations—are owned by or properly licensed to Dark Moon and Moth Studios and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

“Dark Moon and Moth Studios,” the studio emblem, and associated branding may not be used in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation without written permission.

All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

7. Creative Process and AI-Assisted Content

Dark Moon and Moth Studios may use generative artificial-intelligence tools to assist with portions of the research, writing, editing, design, and illustration process.

Every published product is selected, reviewed, revised, and assembled under the studio’s creative direction to reflect its vision, philosophy, and standards. Because AI-assisted material may contain errors or omissions, customers should independently verify information when safety, identification, health, legal compliance, or factual accuracy is important.

8. Educational and Reflective Purpose

Our materials are provided for educational, informational, observational, creative, spiritual, and personal-reflection purposes.

They are not a substitute for individualized medical, mental-health, veterinary, legal, financial, survival, emergency, or other professional advice.

No statement in a product guarantees a particular spiritual, emotional, therapeutic, financial, or practical outcome.

9. Nature, Plant, and Field Safety

Natural environments contain inherent risks. Information about plants, fungi, animals, weather, landscapes, folklore, traditional uses, or historical practices is not an instruction to consume, administer, harvest, handle, approach, or disturb anything.

Never consume or administer a plant, fungus, preparation, or natural substance based solely on our materials. Identification errors, allergies, interactions, contamination, toxicity, environmental conditions, and individual health circumstances can cause serious harm.

Use qualified regional references and consult an appropriate professional before making decisions involving identification, consumption, medicine, pregnancy, children, pets, or health conditions.

Follow all applicable laws, land rules, fire restrictions, permits, harvesting regulations, and conservation guidance. Do not enter unsafe or restricted areas. Observe wildlife from a respectful distance and avoid disturbing habitats.

10. Folklore and Magical Material

Folklore, symbolism, magical correspondences, historical beliefs, and contemplative practices are presented as cultural, creative, spiritual, or reflective material.

They should not be confused with scientifically established facts. Where science, folklore, and personal interpretation appear together, each remains a distinct way of engaging with the subject.

You are responsible for deciding whether a practice is suitable for your circumstances and beliefs.

11. Accuracy and Updates

We make reasonable efforts to create thoughtful and accurate materials. However, natural-history knowledge, scientific understanding, classifications, laws, dates, technology, and regional conditions may change.

We do not guarantee that every product will be error-free, complete, or suitable for every location or purpose.

We may correct, revise, replace, discontinue, or update products and storefront content at our discretion. A purchase does not guarantee lifetime updates unless expressly promised in the listing.

If you discover a possible error, please contact us.

12. Prices, Availability, and Orders

Prices, discounts, product contents, bundles, and availability may change without notice.

We may cancel or decline an order where reasonably necessary because of technical error, suspected fraud, unauthorized activity, incorrect pricing, legal restrictions, or misuse of the storefront.

Applicable taxes and payment processing are handled through Payhip and the payment provider available during checkout.

13. Refunds

Because our products are digital and access is generally provided immediately, purchases are ordinarily final except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly provided under our Refund & Digital Product Policy.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.

14. Reviews and Communications

If you submit a review, comment, testimonial, photograph, or other content, you confirm that it is truthful, lawful, and does not violate another person’s rights.

You retain ownership of your original submission. Unless separately agreed, you grant Dark Moon and Moth Studios permission to display and reproduce a product review or testimonial in connection with the studio and its marketing, with reasonable edits for length or clarity that do not materially change its meaning.

We will request additional permission before publicly identifying you beyond the name or identifier you chose to submit with the review.

15. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Use the storefront for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes
  • Attempt to bypass payment, download limits, account controls, or security measures
  • Interfere with storefront operation or introduce malicious code
  • Collect information about other users without authorization
  • Misrepresent your identity or relationship with the studio
  • Infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or other legal rights
  • Use purchased or free materials in violation of their license

Payhip provides measures intended to discourage unauthorized sharing, including download limits and optional PDF stamping. Payhip product-protection guidance

16. Third-Party Services and Links

The storefront uses services operated by third parties, including Payhip, payment providers, and MailerLite. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, security, content, or practices of third-party websites or services that we do not control.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the storefront and its materials are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not warrant uninterrupted access, universal compatibility, error-free files, or particular results from using a product.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dark Moon and Moth Studios will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from access to or use of the storefront or its materials.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to a product will not exceed the amount you paid for that product, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer protections.

19. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the storefront, violation of these Terms, infringement of another person’s rights, or unauthorized distribution of our materials.

20. Termination

We may suspend access to products or services when we reasonably believe these Terms have been materially violated, including through fraud, piracy, redistribution, or abuse.

Provisions concerning intellectual property, licenses, disclaimers, liability, and dispute resolution survive termination where applicable.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute will be handled in a court with lawful jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in our products, practices, service providers, or legal obligations.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
