About Me
Hi, I’m Heather.
I’m a Certified Holistic Grief Coach, licensed massage therapist, sound healer, breathwork facilitator, and the heart behind Healing Arts Collective.
But my relationship with grief started long before I ever received a certification.
I know what it’s like when loss doesn’t come neatly or one at a time. I lost my brother at only 43 years old. One year later, on the exact same date, I lost my mom. I’ve also experienced the deaths of my father and stepfather, along with other losses and life changes that completely reshaped who I was.
Grief became something I didn’t just study—I lived it.
And somewhere along the way, I realized how badly we need spaces where people can tell the truth about it.
Because grief isn’t always soft and sentimental.
Sometimes you’re devastated. Sometimes you’re angry as hell. Sometimes you’re numb. Sometimes you laugh and then feel guilty for laughing. Sometimes you desperately miss the person you lost—and sometimes you’re grieving a relationship that was complicated long before they died.
There is room for all of it.
I became certified as a Holistic Grief Coach because I wanted to help people navigate grief as a whole-person experience—emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually—without trying to rush them through it or turn their loss into some inspirational story.
My background in massage therapy, sound healing, breathwork, trauma-informed bodywork, and years of working closely with people has also taught me something important:
We don’t just think our grief. We carry it.
Healing Arts Collective grew from that understanding.
The work I create isn’t about “getting over it,” moving on, or pretending everything happens for a reason. It’s about having somewhere honest to land while you figure out how to carry what happened and still find your way forward.
No perfect healing timeline.
No forced positivity.
No taming down the messy parts.
Just real support for real humans going through really hard shit.
