Malcolm (Kofi Takoda) Stanislaus, PsyD, is a psychologist, educator, author, and advocate for African American trauma recovery. His work integrates trauma psychology, attachment theory, affect regulation, African American historical trauma studies, contemplative practice, spiritual development, and resilience research. Drawing upon the contributions of Frantz Fanon, Joy DeGruy, John Bradshaw, James Masterson, Allan Schore, Louis Cozolino, Antonio Damasio, Candace Pert, the Hoffman Process, and contemplative traditions, his work seeks to make healing accessible to everyday people. His mission is to support individuals and communities in moving beyond toxic shame, unresolved trauma, emotional suffering, and historical wounds toward dignity, connection, self-knowledge, resilience, and freedom.
