Although my career has been in Treasury, I am also a formulator and have wasted many hours tracking and organising my ingredient profiles. I am passionate about experimenting with formulations and testing new ingredients. I worked for a contract manufacturer of organic skincare, which was a huge learning curve, producing large quantities of products. I had never seen ingredients come in such large volumes and it taught me a lot about keeping track of my inventory.

I know first-hand, all the frustrations of trying to keep everything in one place and then forgetting where I had saved a particular COA when I need it ‘now’. I have also been caught out many times running out of an ingredient or having it expire without realising beforehand. 

This is precisely why I created this model, out of pure frustration on the amount of time I spent recalculating ingredients when I finished formulating and searching for related information. I wanted to have one place where I could keep my entire ingredient profile, with the added bonus of having a dynamic model that saves you recalculating and tracking ingredients manually.
