Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Lantern & Pine Press online store and your purchase or use of any books, digital downloads, printable materials, and other products offered through the store.
By accessing the store, placing an order, or downloading a purchased product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the store or purchase its products.
1. About Lantern & Pine Press
Lantern & Pine Press publishes books and creative resources in a variety of genres. Products may be published under the names of individual authors or under pseudonyms.
The online store is hosted by Payhip. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe or PayPal. Your use of those services may also be governed by their respective terms and policies.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian to make a purchase.
You agree to provide accurate and current information during checkout and not to use the store or its products for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
3. Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to describe each product accurately, including its format, contents, price, and delivery method. Colors and appearance may vary between devices, displays, PDF readers, printers, and printing settings.
Unless a product listing expressly states otherwise:
- Digital products are delivered electronically.
- No physical item will be shipped.
- Customers are responsible for having compatible software and devices.
- Product images and previews are for illustrative purposes.
- Purchasing a digital product provides a license to use it; it does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property.
We may correct typographical errors, pricing errors, or inaccurate product information. If a material error affects an order already placed, we will contact the customer and provide an appropriate remedy.
4. Pricing, Payment, and Taxes
Prices are displayed in the currency identified at checkout. Applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar taxes may be added to the listed price or included within it, depending on the customer’s location and the store’s tax settings.
Payment must be successfully authorized before digital products are delivered. Payment processing is handled through Payhip and its available payment providers.
5. Digital Delivery
After a successful purchase, customers receive access to the applicable digital files through the checkout confirmation, download page, or email receipt.
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing a valid email address
- Downloading files within any stated download limit
- Saving an appropriate personal backup
- Using software capable of opening the supplied file formats
- Contacting us promptly if a purchased file is missing, damaged, or inaccessible

6. Personal-Use License
Unless a product listing includes different written license terms, each purchase grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the product for personal purposes.
For printable books and worksheets, the purchaser may print reasonable copies for their own personal use, including fresh worksheet copies for future personal projects or trips.
You may not:
- Share purchased files with another person
- Upload files to a shared drive, website, social network, file-sharing service, or public platform
- Resell, sublicense, distribute, lend, or give away the files
- Reproduce products for classroom, organizational, group, or commercial use without written permission
- Remove copyright notices or other ownership information
- Claim the product or any portion of it as your own work
- Use the product to create competing products, derivative products for sale, or commercial templates
- Use automated systems to extract, reproduce, train on, or republish substantial portions of the content except where such restriction is prohibited by law
A separate purchase or written license may be required for each user when a product is intended for use by multiple people.
7. Intellectual Property
All text, illustrations, designs, worksheets, logos, branding, downloadable files, and other original content offered through the store are owned by Lantern & Pine Press, the identified author or creator, or an applicable licensor. They are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
“Lantern & Pine Press,” its logo, and associated branding may not be used in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or authorization without written permission.
8. Educational and Informational Products
Some Lantern & Pine Press products provide educational, planning, recreational, or general informational content. This content is not individualized professional advice and is not a substitute for guidance from qualified medical, legal, financial, safety, navigation, emergency-management, or other professionals.
Information may become outdated, and real-world conditions may change. Customers remain responsible for evaluating current conditions, laws, regulations, closures, weather, hazards, personal abilities, equipment, and official guidance.
9. Outdoor and Recreational Activities
Outdoor activities—including hiking, camping, backpacking, travel, navigation, water treatment, wildlife encounters, and backcountry recreation—may involve serious risks, including injury, illness, property loss, or death.
Purchasers and readers are responsible for their own decisions, preparation, equipment, route selection, emergency planning, and safety. Always consult current official sources and qualified professionals when appropriate. No book, worksheet, checklist, or planning tool can identify or eliminate every risk.
Nothing sold through the store constitutes a guarantee of safety, successful completion of an activity, or a particular outcome.
10. Refunds
Refund eligibility is governed by the Lantern & Pine Press Refund Policy displayed separately on the store.
Because digital products are made available for immediate access or download, purchases are generally final once delivery or access has begun, except where a refund is required by applicable law or where the product is materially defective or was not delivered as described.
Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
11. Acceptable Use
You may not use the store to:
- Commit fraud or impersonate another person
- Attempt unauthorized access to the store, customer accounts, or technical systems
- Introduce malicious code
- Interfere with checkout, payment processing, downloads, or store operation
- Circumvent download restrictions or product-protection measures
- Violate intellectual-property rights or applicable law
Access may be limited or terminated when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, misuse, unlawful activity, or violation of these Terms.
12. Reviews and Submitted Content
If you submit a review, testimonial, comment, or other content, you confirm that it reflects your honest experience and does not violate another person’s rights.
You grant Lantern & Pine Press permission to display and reproduce submitted reviews or testimonials in connection with the store and its products, subject to applicable law. We will not materially alter the meaning of a review.
We may remove content that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, misleading, irrelevant, or otherwise inappropriate.
13. Third-Party Services and Links
The store may contain links to or rely upon third-party services, including Payhip, Stripe, PayPal, and external websites. We do not control every aspect of those services and are not responsible for their independent content, availability, security practices, or policies.
Use of third-party services is subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, products and store services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that:
- Every product will meet every customer’s individual needs
- The store or downloads will always be uninterrupted or error-free
- Every file will work with every device, application, or printer
- Use of a product will produce a particular result
Any warranties that cannot legally be excluded remain in effect as required by law.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lantern & Pine Press and its authors, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the store or its products.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, our total liability relating to a purchase will not exceed the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
16. Changes to Products or These Terms
We may update products, correct files, modify store features, or revise these Terms when reasonably necessary. Changes to these Terms become effective when the revised version is posted with a new effective date.
Changes will not remove rights that a customer has already acquired under applicable law.
17. Severability
If any portion of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy, the applicable product listing, and any product-specific license constitute the agreement governing purchases from the store.
If product-specific written terms conflict with these general Terms, the product-specific terms control for that product.
