Terms and Conditions

1. About us
This shop and the AQA Unit Awards Hub are run by NEST Pembrokeshire Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15449029). Our registered office is The Retreat, Carmarthen Road, Kilgetty, Pembrokeshire, Wales, SA68 0YA. You can contact us at nest.pembrokeshirehub@gmail.com. In these terms, "we", "us" and "Nest" mean NEST Pembrokeshire Ltd, and "you" means the person buying or joining.
2. These terms
These terms apply to everything you buy or download from this shop, including free resources, and to membership of the AQA Unit Awards Hub. By buying, downloading or joining, you agree to them. Payments are processed securely by Payhip and its payment partners; we never see or store your card details.
3. Digital booklets and guides
Our booklets, workbooks and guides are digital files. When you buy or download one, you receive a licence to use it with the children in your own family. You may print as many copies as your family needs. You may not share, resell, upload or distribute the files, or use them with groups or in a school or business, without our written permission. All content remains the property of NEST Pembrokeshire Ltd.
4. Your right to cancel a digital download
Under UK consumer law you normally have 14 days to change your mind about an online purchase. Because our booklets are digital files that you can download straight away, by completing your purchase you ask us to give you immediate access and you agree that you lose this right to cancel once the download is available. If a file is faulty, will not open or is not as described, please email us and we will replace it or refund you.
5. AQA Unit Awards Hub membership
Nest Pembrokeshire is a registered AQA Unit Award Scheme centre. Hub membership is for one named young person and includes access to the Hub workbook library, new workbooks made on request, marking and feedback on submitted units, and AQA certificates claimed for every unit successfully completed. There is no limit on the number of units a member can complete while their membership is active.
Price. Membership costs £35 when you join, which covers registration for the academic year and includes your first month, followed by £10 a month. The monthly payment is taken automatically on the same date each month until you cancel.
Brothers and sisters. The Brother or Sister Membership costs £35 when you join, which covers that child's AQA registration for the academic year and includes their first month, followed by £5 a month. It is only available for a child whose brother or sister, living in the same family, already holds a full Hub Membership. If we cannot match a Brother or Sister Membership to a full membership, we will contact you and ask you to change to a full membership, or we will cancel it and refund any payments taken.
The academic year. Membership runs for the academic year, from September to the end of August. A new £35 registration payment is due each September to continue into the new academic year. We will contact members before the new year begins to explain how to renew.
Registration. Each learner must be registered using our registration form so that we can give them a unique learner number and claim certificates in their name. You must make sure the details you give us are accurate.
6. Marking and certificates
We mark work and claim certificates only while a membership is active, so each finished unit must be sent to us during a month you have paid for. Evidence must be the learner's own work. We check work against the outcomes AQA sets for each unit, and if anything is missing we will explain what is needed and invite you to send more evidence. The decision on whether a unit has been achieved rests with us as the registered centre, following AQA's requirements. Certificates are issued by AQA, and while we claim them promptly, we cannot control AQA's timescales. AQA Unit Awards are certificates of achievement; they are not GCSEs or regulated qualifications.
7. Workbook requests
Members may ask for a workbook for a unit that is not yet in the library. We aim to make requested workbooks in a reasonable time and will tell you when to expect yours. Requested workbooks are added to the library for all members to use.
8. Cancelling your membership
You can cancel your membership at any time from your Payhip account, and no further payments will be taken. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Payments already made are not refunded for part months. If you cancel within 14 days of first joining and you have not downloaded any Hub workbooks or sent us any work, we will refund your first payment in full; please email us to ask. Workbooks you have already downloaded remain covered by the family licence in section 3, but work cannot be marked or certificated after your membership ends.
9. Changes to prices or these terms
We may change our prices or these terms from time to time. If a change affects your membership, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then if you do not wish to continue.
10. Your information and your child's information
NEST Pembrokeshire Ltd is the data controller for the information you give us and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. We collect the information on the registration form, including parent and learner names, contact details and learner ages, so that we can run the Hub, register learners and claim certificates. We share learner details with AQA only for the purpose of claiming certificates. We keep this information securely, do not sell it, and only keep it for as long as we need it for these purposes and to meet our record keeping obligations. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing us. Our full privacy policy is at nestpembrokeshire.co.uk/privacy-policy, and you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
11. Safeguarding
The welfare of children and young people comes first. If anything in work sent to us, or anything you tell us, gives us concern for a child's safety, we will follow our safeguarding procedures, which may include sharing information with the appropriate authorities.
12. Guidance and liability
Our guides, including The 11pm Series, are written to inform and support families. They are general educational guidance and are not a substitute for medical, psychological or other professional advice about your child. If you are worried about a child's health or safety, please contact your GP or the relevant professional services. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under UK consumer law.
13. Questions and complaints
If you have a question or are unhappy with anything, please email nest.pembrokeshirehub@gmail.com and we will do our best to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
