About the Creator
Welcome! I’m a former teacher, current author, and an unrepentant craftivist who’s been stitching subversion into thread since 2016.
After years of managing classrooms, standing on the sidelines of bad policy, and trying to keep my language polite, I reached a turning point—specifically, the kind of perimenopausal clarity where you realize you are completely out of patience and out of gives. As a teacher, I spent decades guiding minds quietly. As an author and maker, I’ve traded the lesson plans for embroidery needles, using traditional handcrafts to deliver some distinctly non-traditional messages.
If you’re looking for delicate floral motifs that say "Home Sweet Home," you’re definitely in the wrong shop.
My patterns are designed for fellow activists, makers, and self-proclaimed "radical left lunatics" who want a subtle, sharp-witted way to speak their minds. From a distance, these designs look like wholesome heirloom cross-stitch. Up close? They’re quietly cursing, poking at systemic absurdity, and delivering micro-embroidered reality checks like "fuck", "FDT", and "8647".
Because true resistance doesn't always have to be a loud bullhorn on a street corner. Sometimes it’s a tiny, passive-aggressive magnet on your fridge, a stitched patch on your winter mittens, or a framed hoop on your mantle that makes nosy relatives sweat when they step in for a closer look.
Every pattern here is offered on a Pay-What-You-Want scale. Whether you contribute a dollar or twenty, 50% of all shop proceeds are donated directly to organizations like the ACLU and PBS—because protecting civil liberties and funding public broadcasting is apparently the most "dangerously radical" thing we can do.
Grab your Aida cloth, pick up your needle, and let's go stab some rage into art.
