Hi, I'm Rouanne.

I've always dreamed of becoming a children's author.

Long before ROUSA Learning Studio existed, I imagined creating stories that children would remember long after the final page. Stories that felt warm, comforting, and just a little magical. Stories that encouraged curiosity, imagination, and meaningful moments between children and the people who love them.

As I began studying education and working alongside children in mainstream and specialist settings, I realised something that has stayed with me ever since.

The most important kind of connection is human connection.

That simple belief became the heart of ROUSA.

Today, I create thoughtful children's books, learning resources, and The Learning Thread community with one goal in mind: to help children feel seen, understood, included, and celebrated for exactly who they are.

I don't believe learning should simply be about teaching content.

I believe it should inspire curiosity.

It should create conversations.

It should encourage imagination.

Most importantly, it should strengthen the relationships that help children feel safe enough to learn in the first place.

My hope is that every ROUSA book, resource, and article brings a little more kindness, nostalgia, creativity, and connection into childhood.
