Turning the Page

There is something incredibly special about finishing your first books.

When I first imagined Ladybug Lane, I never expected it would grow into a collection. One story slowly became two, then three, and before I knew it, The Little Garden Collection was born.

Together, Ladybug LaneBumblebee Bridge, and Butterfly Boulevard have become my very first children's book series—a milestone I will always treasure.

Each book was created with one simple hope: that learning could feel gentle.

I wanted children to count without pressure, trace without frustration, explore shapes with curiosity, and discover that every learner has their own unique way of growing. As someone who is passionate about inclusive education, it has been such a privilege to create resources that I hope can be enjoyed in classrooms, therapy spaces and homes alike.

Creating these books taught me so much.

It taught me that beautiful learning resources don't have to be loud to be engaging. That curiosity can be sparked through calm moments. That small ideas, when nurtured with care, can slowly grow into something much bigger than you ever imagined.

Like any first project, there were plenty of moments where I questioned myself. I learned how to illustrate, self-publish, design printable resources, build a website, create a business, and wear more hats than I ever thought possible. Every challenge became another lesson, and every lesson helped shape what ROUSA Learning Studio is becoming.

But perhaps the most exciting part is this:

This isn't the finish line.

It feels more like the very first chapter.

As I look ahead, I find myself dreaming bigger than ever before. I have pages filled with ideas waiting to be explored, new resources I'd love to create, and a vision for ROUSA Learning Studio that stretches far beyond children's books.

I want to continue designing thoughtful learning experiences that grow alongside children, educators and families. I want to create resources that are timeless, calming and meaningful. And I want ROUSA to keep evolving into something that reflects not only my love of education, but my belief that every learner deserves to feel capable, included and inspired.

You may even notice little changes appearing over the coming months.

A fresh direction.

A broader vision.

The same heart—but with even bigger dreams.

To everyone who has supported this little business so far—whether you've purchased a book, shared a post, left a kind comment, or simply cheered me on from afar—thank you.

Your encouragement has meant more than you know.

The Little Garden Collection will always hold a special place in my heart because it marks where everything truly began.

And now...

It's time to turn the page.

I can't wait to share what's coming next.

Until next time,

Rouanne Abdelsamie
