Let's Build (1-5th) STEM Fall Curriculum (12wks)

This fun 12-week course will have students thinking, moving, and working (individually and together), to build things of all kinds. With a focus on structures, balance, forces, connections, and modes of failure, students will engage in a variety of building projects including fort-building, towers, 3D puzzles, bridges, marble tracks, roller coasters, and more. The class will involve a mix of in-class group/team projects and take-home treasures.

Let's Build (1-5th) STEM Spring Curriculum (12wks)

This fun class will have students thinking, moving, and building things of all kinds. With a focus on structures, students will learn concepts including balance, structural members, structural forces, connections, loading, foundations, bracing, and modes of failure.

Using a variety of materials such as cards, dominos, pipe cleaners, straws, foamboard, and more, participants will engage in a variety of building projects including towers, 3D puzzles, houses, and more to experiment how various materials, shapes, and sizes affect stability of a structure.
