Project Basket

Welcome to the Project Basket! 🧶

There’s always something on the hook or needles at Sam’s Yarn Basket!

The Project Basket is where you’ll find our current crochet-alongs, knit-alongs, challenges and special community projects.

Some projects last a few weeks, others grow with us throughout the year — and you’re always welcome to join in. Work at your own pace, use the yarn you love and, most importantly, have fun creating alongside your fellow Basketeers.

Have a look through what’s happening in the Basket and see what you'd like to make with us next.

All for Yarn and Yarn for All! ❤️

What’s in the Project Basket?

Subscriber Scrap Blanket

Watch the blanket grow along with our Basketeer community! For every 5 new subscribers, another row is added to the blanket. When we reach our goal, the finished blanket will be given away to one lucky subscriber.

Sock & Hat Challenges

Join our fun, friendly making challenges as we alternate between socks and hats. Follow along, learn new techniques, share your progress and create something wonderful alongside your fellow Basketeers.

COMING IN 2027

Something BIG is growing in the Basket! In 2027 we'll be creating together throughout the year with special knit-alongs and crochet-alongs designed to build skills, try new techniques and create beautiful finished blankets.
