Why I Started Offering Personal Readings

I like analyzing things, and as AI has developed, I've found myself asking more and more questions about all kinds of subjects.

What caught my interest most was divination. I was already curious about it, and I've always been the type to check horoscopes closely. If you love divination the way I do, I hope you'll keep reading.

Divination is a familiar part of daily life for a lot of people. In Japan, morning TV shows have aired a daily horoscope ranking of the twelve zodiac signs for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I never left for school without checking it. So the twelve signs, at least, have been part of my life since I was small.

Maybe my personality was part of it, too. Plenty of people say they don't believe in fortune-telling. But I've always considered myself an unlucky person, so I sometimes turned to divination to work out how to avoid trouble. I never did exactly what a horoscope said. Still, I probably avoided a lot of things without realizing it. Knowing what might happen changes your choices, even when you don't notice.

Divination shaped a few things for me as an adult, too. When I fell ill and was hospitalized, I changed jobs. I've been hospitalized several times over the years because of illness or injury, and for some reason my life seems to change direction after each one, so I acted on that feeling again. Things slowly started to go well, and then an acquaintance introduced me to an in-person reader. The reader told me, "You made the wrong choice."

I was stunned. I had believed things would work out, and they really did seem to be improving little by little, so hearing that the choice itself was wrong was hard to accept. Looking back now, I think she were right. That move didn't fit who I am, and I shouldn't have made it.

Not everyone gets to work in a job that suits them. We have bills to pay and need an income. But by then I couldn't go back. Even now, I think that if I hadn't left that job, I'd be living on a completely different timeline. At the same time, it's because I made that choice that I feel I have to take responsibility for my own life.

Thank you for reading this far. For now, I call myself an AI-assisted divination content designer, not a fortune teller. I'm more like an architect who designs the readings. Still, I can write readings that fit all kinds of concerns because I'm not someone with no knowledge of divination.

Plenty of people now use AI to give personal readings. Most of them probably started for business reasons, but some of us started because we simply love divination. I'm one of them.

In the end, a personal reading comes down to who gave it. AI is just one of the tools. I may call myself a designer, but I'm still the one giving the reading.

I was nervous at first, of course, but I've had good responses from a small number of clients. As more people come, I don't expect every reading to satisfy everyone, but I always aim for readings that everyone can feel satisfied with. That's not unique to divination. I think it's true of any product.

I currently offer several readings here on Payhip. If the time comes when you'd like a reading, I hope you'll give one a try.
