For Digital Downloads – Patterns & Illustrations

Last Updated: 3 December 2025

Below is a clear and user-friendly FAQ section to help customers understand our digital products, licensing, usage rules, and studio policies.

1. Do I receive a physical product?

No. All items in our shop are digital downloads only. You will receive downloadable files that you can print or use digitally. No physical items will be shipped.

2. How do I download my files?

After your payment is confirmed, your files become available for instant download through the platform.

3. What can I use these designs for?

You are allowed to use the designs for:

  • Personal projects
  • Small-business commercial use (printed products, packaging, stationery, branding, etc.)

For large-scale or exclusive usage, please contact us for extended licensing.

4. What is NOT allowed with these files?

You may NOT:

  • Resell, share, or redistribute the digital files
  • Claim the artwork as your own
  • Upload the artwork to POD sites as-is
  • Use artwork in editable templates where others can extract the design
  • Use it for AI training, scraping, or machine learning datasets
  • Trademark the artwork

5. Can I get a refund if I purchased the wrong item?

Unfortunately, no. Digital downloads cannot be returned, so all sales are final. If you have trouble accessing your files, contact us and we will help.

6. Can I use your designs for commercial projects?

Yes! You can use them for small-scale commercial projects such as:

  • Packaging
  • Branding
  • Fabric printing
  • Handmade products
  • Posters, stickers, stationery

For mass production, exclusive usage, or high-volume manufacturing, an extended license is required.

7. Do you offer custom or commissioned artwork?

Yes, we accept custom commissions depending on availability. Please reach out via email for pricing and timelines.

8. What if my files don’t download correctly?

No problem — just email us (studiosupreetraina@gmail.com) with your order details. We’ll resend the files or provide alternate access.

9. Can I modify the artwork?

Yes, light modifications are allowed, especially for use in your own designs. However, the final product must not allow extraction of the original artwork.

Modified artwork still cannot be redistributed as digital files. Modifications do not grant ownership.

10. What is a Standard Commercial License?

A Standard Commercial License is a non-exclusive license included with all purchases. It allows:

  • Unlimited personal use
  • Small-business commercial use (up to 500 units, e.g., handmade products, small batch production)
  • Use in branding, packaging, stationery, social media, and printed items

It does not allow mass production, POD-as-is uploads, or selling the digital files.

11. What counts as Small-Business Commercial Use?

Any use where:

  • Items are produced in small quantities upto 500 units
  • Products are made by hand or printed in limited batches
  • Designs are incorporated into a finished product—not sold as standalone artwork

Examples:

  • Labels, stickers, stationery
  • Boutique packaging
  • Limited edition apparel
  • Handmade items

12. What is NOT allowed under the Standard Commercial License?

Under the Standard Commercial License (Non-Exclusive), you cannot:

  • Sell, share, or redistribute the digital files
  • Use the artwork as-is on print-on-demand (POD) sites
  • Upload files to editable templates where others can extract the art
  • Use artwork in AI training datasets
  • Claim the artwork as your own
  • Mass-produce products beyond small business scale

13. What is an Extended Commercial License?

An Extended Commercial License (non-exclusive) is needed when:

  • You plan mass production (large print runs above 500 units)
  • Your products will be sold in retail chains or at scale
  • You require broader usage rights beyond small business limits

It provides:

  • Higher or unlimited print runs
  • Permission for larger commercial use

14. What is an Exclusive License?

An Exclusive License grants:

  • Sole usage rights to one buyer
  • Artwork will not be resold or licensed to anyone else
  • Ideal for branding, packaging, books, or unique product lines

Exclusive licenses typically cost more because the design is removed from general sale.

15. Do I own the artwork after purchasing a license?

No. Purchasing non-exclusive license gives you usage rights, not ownership. All intellectual property remains with Studio Supreet Raina.

16. Do you collect or store my personal information?

We only collect the basic information required to process your order. We do not store payment details. Your information is never shared except as needed for order fulfilment.

17. Can I trademark the artwork I purchased?

No. Trademarking the illustration, pattern, or any direct derivative is not allowed.

If you need artwork for trademark use, you must purchase an Exclusive License.

18. When do I need to purchase an Extended or Exclusive License?

You should upgrade if:

  • You expect high-volume sales
  • Your manufacturer requires commercial clearance
  • You sell in multiple retail outlets
  • You want guaranteed uniqueness (exclusive)

19. Will these policies ever change?

Policies may be updated periodically. Continued use of our products means you agree to the updated terms.
