She was tiny, frightened, and completely alone.
Little Pippa was dumped on the streets, still wearing her collar, and left to fend for herself. Weighing less than 2 kg, she is incredibly small and vulnerable. It is heartbreaking to think that someone could simply abandon such a precious little soul.
Thankfully, Pippa was found before it was too late.
When I learned about her situation, I knew I had to help. No matter how small she may be, her life matters, and she deserves the same chance at happiness as every other animal.
Today, Pippa is safely at our clinic where she is receiving the care she needs. She is being spayed and given a thorough veterinary check-up to make sure we understand her health needs and can give her the best possible start to her new life.
I had hoped to find Pippa a foster home in California while she waits to travel, but sadly, that was not possible. For now, she will remain safely with my friend at her small shelter, where she can be cared for and protected while she prepares for the next chapter of her life.
Her journey is only beginning.
One day soon, we hope Pippa will leave behind the streets and everything she has endured and finally know what it feels like to be truly loved. She deserves a warm bed, gentle hands, a safe home, and a family who will never abandon her.
Pippa may weigh less than 2 kg, but her life has enormous value.
