Ottavia Turner, born and raised in New York City and now based in Virginia, is a mother of two, wellness educator, birth worker, yoga teacher, artist, and entrepreneur with more than 10 years of experience working with women, children, and families.

In 2020, Ottavia founded Womb Heroes Birth Services, inspired in part by her own birth experiences and the home birth of her second child, supported by her late soulmate. That experience became an important part of the foundation and vision behind Womb Heroes.

Through Womb Heroes, Ottavia provides holistic support centered on women’s wellness, pregnancy, birth, postpartum care, movement, body awareness, and family wellness. Her work combines professional education and hands-on experience with traditional practices and ancestral knowledge that have been passed down through generations.

Her mission is to empower women and families with education, resources, and support so they can make informed decisions about their bodies, pregnancies, births, postpartum journeys, and overall well-being. She is especially passionate about supporting healthier families and contributing to efforts that address maternal health disparities within underserved communities.
