Yuki Gotanda has over 20 years of international experience in the private sector, UN (UNDP and WFP), and NGO. She has extensive international experience - worked in 19 countries throughout Africa, Asia-Pacific, North America, and Europe. Yuki worked in deep field locations, country offices, and headquarters. Having managed humanitarian projects in hardship duty stations, she understands the reality and challenges of humanitarian/international development work on the ground first-hand. These highly rewarding professions also often involve complex career/life transitions, such as non-linear career paths, reverse culture shock, and identity shifts when entering, leaving, or moving within the field. Yuki supports professionals in international development and humanitarian fields to navigate career transitions with clarity and confidence.

In addition to coaching, she regularly writes articles about the career transitions of humanitarian and international development professionals. She is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), a Trauma-Informed Certified Coach (TICC), and a From Grief to Gratitude Certified Coach. She holds an M.A. in Human Rights and an M.Sc. in Rural Planning and Development.
