Aerial Beacon
This square quilt has a sixteen-block center that hints at the early days of flying cross country. I expanded this theme to the border, mimicking radio waves to give it the full Aerial Beacon treatment. However, there are three different versions of borders in the patterns in case you want a simpler look.
Included in this pattern are templates for cutting, pieces for using paper-piecing, and pieces for English Paper Piecing, giving you three ways to construct these blocks. It works well in scrappy, in a coordinated collection of fabrics (think fat quarter stack), or in a cohesive gathering of solid colors. I hope you enjoy making this!
