[SPH] Karabiner 98 kurz

The Karabiner 98k is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7.92×57mm Mauser, developed in 1935 as the standard service rifle of the German Wehrmacht during World War II. It features a five-round internal magazine loaded via stripper clips and operates with a controlled-feed Mauser action, known for its reliability and smooth cycling. The rifle has a 600mm barrel, an overall length of 1,110mm, and weighs approximately 3.9 kg. It has an effective range of around 500 meters with iron sights, extending to 1,000 meters when equipped with a scope for sniper use.

The 98k was a shortened and modernized version of the Gewehr 98, designed for improved maneuverability while retaining high accuracy. It saw widespread use in all major theaters of WWII, with millions produced. While eventually outclassed by semi-automatic and automatic rifles, it remained in service long after the war, used by various nations and influencing later bolt-action rifle designs.
