RP Character & Thread Tracker - v2

An RP Tracking System for Characters, Threads, and Post/Word Counts

Built off Google Sheets as the API/database, using forms to submit to and edit data of almost all content. Set up involves a Github account and a Google Drive, but full instructions are provided and set up help is available at additional cost. This version does not require advanced coding knowledge; if you can copy/paste code snippets or whole files and change variables as instructed in the readme, you will be able to update this yourself!

While the offered version does not require a local environment with NPM installed for use of SASS and Gulp-based HTML templates, it was initially built and is maintained using that set up, so if you are tech savvy, feel free to reach out after purchase for the local version that has the build files!

Features:

• Once set up, it should be code-free outside of adding/removing specific site pages as all changes can be made in the forms (or, in the case of removal of whole threads, characters, and/or sites, in the Google Sheet by deleting the relevant row).
• Thread status can be changed with the click of a button: theirs, yours, completed (only shows if the complete filter is selected and can be reactivated), and archived (will never show).
• Available thread and relationship tags are a single JS array, as are the chart colors, making them easy to update and change for general use.
• Character tags can be generalized or site-specific; they can also be "single selection" (where adding a new tag in that category will override the previous value) or "multiselection" (where adding a new tag in that category maintains all pre-existing tags and simply adds). Storage of app content is available, both for short fields ("Extra Info" section that allows you to hand-type the title and the value) and longer fields (optional cheatsheet and freeform fields, as well as infinite other longform fields, available in "add app info" form)
• Stats are available for total characters, active threads, completed threads, thread type, status (for all active threads, full-length/rapidfire threads, and comm threads), wait time since the last reply (for all three scenarios as well), and thread count per writing partner on site-specific views and overall views. Gender, pronoun, and age group stats are also available on site-specific views.
• Writing records are included with heatmaps to analyze your writing over time: overall, on specific sites, and/or for specific characters, ships, writing partners, etc.
• Media queries for mobile-friendly use.

Upon purchase, you will receive one file (a .zip file) containing all files required. These should be uploaded to a Github repository after being unzipped. Remaining instructions, including the URL to the template Google Sheet, are present in a readme.md file and will display on your repository's index once uploaded.
