TCL 2023 and 2024 picture settings - SDR
This product contains a document to help you get a better SDR picture and understand picture controls on TCL 2023 and 2024 LED LCD TVs. All options are available in user menus, so there is no need to access the service menu.
The analysis was originally performed on the 55C745 TV, but the document has been revised to reflect the findings on 65C805 (also known as C755) and 55C655 Pro (2024) TVs.
The document explains:
1. SDR picture settings that can be used for watching movies in standard and high definition, DVDs, Blu-r,ays etc. and
2. SDR picture settings for playing games where the screen needs to be responsive
In both cases, the calibration was done for HDMI limited range YPrPb (component) signal, Rec.709 color space, and white point target D65.
For information only, 2-point white balance values obtained on my unit for Movie and Game mode are inside this document.

Settings are for reference only. There is no guarantee that they will give you the best picture which is in line with industry standards and suitable for your viewing environment (especially white balance, gamma and color management system settings that vary from unit to unit). If you want a guaranteed calibrated picture, hire a professional TV calibrator (for example with ISF certificate, more info at https://www.imagingscience.com).
These recommendations apply to all screen sizes and other models in the companies lineup, though not all settings are available on all models.
