Professional Batch Swatch Renaming Tool
GREP Batch Rename Swatches is an Adobe InDesign script that renames many swatches at once using find/replace patterns. Cleaning up a swatch panel by hand — stripping import prefixes, standardizing casing, renumbering — is slow and easy to get wrong. This script applies one or more regular-expression rules across every swatch name in a single pass, with a preview so you can check the result before committing.
Rules run in order, an optional case transformation tidies the final names, and useful rule sets can be saved as presets. System swatches are protected, and any name collisions the renaming would create are resolved automatically with numbered suffixes.
Note: Some InDesign GREP are not supported in JavaScript regular expression patterns
