Olival Shawl starts with just one stitch, in a classic triangular construction. It has a simple seed stitch edge and the body is worked in reverse stockinette with scattered sprouts, small trees if you prefer. A contrasting edge, evoking an hedge protecting an orchard, an olive grove, Olival.

Yarn: Roll up The Sheep Laurentino, 2 skeins (560 m/612,4 yds); Roll up the Sheep Antónia 40g (106 m/); or: other sport yarn of your choice, in similar quantities

Size: 200 cm long and 74 cm wide at the centre (78,74” x 29,13”)

Needles: 5 mm / US 8 and 4,5 mm/ US 8 (or other suitable to obtain gauge or the right texture for you)

Gauge: 24 rows e 16 sts = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4” x 4” (body motif, relaxed after blocking)

Notions: Clip on stitch markers, tapestry needle, blocking wires and pins
