Starshine

“Good morning starshine, the earth says hello.” Hair. The musical was controversial. The music was amazing. My Dad got the sound track when it was new back in 1968, and I wore out the record. One of my favorite song was always “Good Morning Starshine.” Do you know it? If you do, just try to not sing it while you knit these cabled stars that dance in front of a distant galaxy waving hello.

This simple rectangular scarf is knit from one end straight through to the other.

• Yarn: Fingering weight; 375 [375, 580] yards.
• Model: Anzula Luxury Fibers Sebastian in Coco in medium size; 375 yards in 115 grams; 70% superwash merino, 30% sea cell.
• Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows to 4 inches in stitch pattern, blocked.
• Needles: US 6 (4 mm).
• Finished size: 11.75 x 50.5 [14.75 x 41.5, 14.75 x 64.5] inches.
