Ready to Start Writing?

If you’ve ever dreamed of writing your story, but felt like you don’t have the time, energy, or know-how, this free 5-Day Low-Energy Writing Challenge is made just for you.

What You’ll Do in This Challenge

Over 5 gentle, 5-minute sessions, you’ll:

  • Meet your character (even if you don’t have one yet!)
  • Bring them to life with a simple scene in a local café
  • Introduce conflict and emotion with easy prompts
  • Explore your story’s setting using all five senses
  • Write a turning point and reflect on your progress

No pressure. No long hours. Just 5 focused minutes a day to build momentum and find your writing flow.

Why This Challenge Works for Busy People with Chronic Illness

  • Short bursts fit your energy — 5 minutes is doable on good days and low-energy days.
  • Step-by-step prompts build a small scene so you end with something real you created.
  • Encouraging reflections help you connect with your story and your writing journey.
  • No experience needed — just a desire to write and the willingness to try.

About Me

Hi, I’m Melissa — mama of four, author, and chronic illness warrior. I live with multiple chronic conditions, and I know firsthand how challenging it can be to make space for creativity when your energy is limited.

In addition to blogging for 12 years, YouTubing for nearly as long, running a newsletter list with dozens of digital books, and facilitating Facebook support groups for people with chronic pain and fatigue, I’ve authored:

  • 5 nonfiction books
  • 4 children’s books
  • 6 (and counting!) novels and novellas

I created this challenge to help busy people like you start writing with small, manageable steps — because your stories matter, and your voice deserves to be heard.
