A sub cannot read an IEP before 8:00. They can read one page. These snapshot pages tell a substitute what actually matters about behavior in your room, so the day goes better for them and for your kids.

What's included:

• A class snapshot: routines that matter, what not to change, attention signal, how breaks work, where the calm spot is

• Confidential student snapshots (good to know, early signs, what helps, please avoid, who to call)

• A who to call page

• Your room's calm down routine

• A sub report back page

How I'd use it:

Fill these in once in September and update them when something changes. Keep student snapshots in a confidential envelope and share only what your administrator approves. Editable Word file included so you can type it once and reprint.

The class snapshot is the page most subs read first. Keep it to what matters: the routines that hold your room together and the one thing to do first if the day goes sideways. The sub report back helps you see how the day really went, not just "they were fine." Ask your sub to note any time a student needed a break or got upset, so you can follow up the next morning.

Who it's for: Teachers, subs, and administrators. Grades K 12.

What you download: one printable PDF, 4 pages, US Letter, plus an editable Word file so you can type in it.
