This research investigates the relationship between individuals’ health conditions and their level of participation in the labour force within Nigeria. It explores how physical and mental well-being influence productivity, employment opportunities, and overall economic performance. The study also assesses the extent to which poor health reduces labour supply and income generation among different population groups.

The study employed the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) co-integration technique to estimate the short- and long-run elasticities, while the Wald coefficient restrictions test was used to determine the dynamic short-run causality between the variables over the period of 2010-2019. This research consists of a title page, approval page, certification, abstract, List of abbreviations, Chapters one to five (from introduction to conclusion), and references.
