THE ROLE OF NON-OIL EXPORT ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF NIGERIA

This research examines the contribution of non-oil exports to Nigeria’s economic growth and development. It explores how sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and solid minerals influence key economic indicators like GDP, employment, foreign exchange earnings, and industrial diversification. The study highlights the importance of reducing overdependence on crude oil and promoting sustainable export diversification as a pathway to economic stability and resilience.

The major objectives are broadly defined as to empirically find out the impact of non-oil export earnings on the nation Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and to evaluate government policies or measures towards boosting non-oil sector contribution to the economy. This research consists of a title page, approval page, certification, abstract, Chapters One to Five (from introduction to conclusion), and references.
