GOVERNMENT EXPENDITURE AND PERFORMANCE OF INDUSTRIAL SECTOR
The achievement of macroeconomic objectives, from time immemorial, has been a policy priority of every economy whether developed or developing. The general objective of this study was to examine the relationship between government expenditure and selected industrial sector performance in Nigeria. The Autoregressive Distribute Lag (ARDL) was the technique applied. However, the specific objectives are to investigate the impact of government expenditure on the performance of the industrial sector in Nigeria; to investigate the factors militating against the performance of the industrial sector in Nigeria; to investigate the impact of government loans on industrial sector output.
