Private Security Level II
Level II is the basic training required to work as an unarmed security officer. It covers the foundational knowledge needed for public interaction, safety awareness, ethics, and legal responsibilities.

After completing Level II (Non-Commissioned Security Officer) training online, you usually receive:
🎓 1. A Level II Certificate of Completion
This is the official document showing you finished the required Level II course material and passed the exam.

Most training providers give you:
- Your certificate (PDF or printable)
- Instructions on how to apply for your Non-Commissioned (Unarmed) Security License
- Any required forms or submission guidelines for your state’s licensing office
🛂 3. Eligibility to Apply for a Level II (Unarmed) Security License
Once you have the certificate, you can submit:
- Application to your state’s private security regulatory agency
- Fingerprints/background check
- Application fee
After approval, you receive your unarmed security license/registration card.
⚠️ Important
Level II does not involve firearms training and does not authorize you to carry a weapon.
It is the entry-level certification required to work unarmed.
