This self-guided tour is in two parts as you will take a cable car halfway.
The first part takes you to Turtle Bay in the UN diplomatic mission area and the second to Roosevelt Island, a countryside corner of the city where you will find places to sit and picnic.
You'll have great views along the East River, first towards Long Island City then towards Manhattan and if you're up for it, you'll also have the option of taking a ferry at the end of the walk.
This will be an opportunity to visit the UN, several art galleries and a huge antique store, among other things.
