Walk in NYC # 6, along the East River, part 3

This walk takes you from Roosevelt Island to Astoria and far from the beaten path.

You will discover New York neighborhoods that are sometimes industrial, sometimes residential but always far from the bustle of Manhattan, you will have beautiful views of the East River, you will be able to visit a Japanese museum, see astonishing sculptures and colorful murals, then find genuine Greek restaurants.

It can be done alone or as a follow-up to Walk in NYC # 5 for a big city trip! At some point, you can also shorten it to take a ferry and return to Queens or Manhattan along the East River side (there are different stops on the line).
