Walk in NYC # 1, the essentials of Upper Midtown

This self-guided tour goes through the main attractions of Upper Midtown.

This is the first of my four favorite walks to show Manhattan to newcomers and it is also one of the most spectacular, particularly if you start it in the late afternoon to gradually enjoy the lights of the city.

If you do the whole tour and take your time, count on around 4 hours but it could be more if you add the visits and stops here and there. It is designed as an introduction to this part of the city, but it does not exhaust all its possibilities.
