Walk in NYC # 12, from Central Park to Upper East Side

This self-guided tour takes you through what is arguably the most beautiful part of Central Park and brings you in front of some of the city's most famous art museums. You will then follow residential streets in an opulent neighborhood to end your hike in a park along the East River.

Between the Beatles and Egypt, ancient books and German art, street performers and doormen in livery, you will go from discoveries to discoveries. You can then take a bus or a ferry for your return and if the second part of the journey seems long, shorten it by renting a bike from Citibikenyc (it’s a little complex at first to set up your account but easy to use afterwards).
