There is something wonderful about being close to trees, surrounded by their colours, their light, and their quiet presence.

Feeling Close to the Trees explores this connection through a lively gathering of fresh greens, gentle blues, and touches of sunlight yellow. The pale blue and white tree trunks emerge from the surrounding foliage, creating a sense of being immersed in nature.

Created in my self-taught contemporary pointillism style, the painting is made with layers upon layers of colourful dots. The colours mingle and blend, allowing the trees and their surroundings to become part of one another.

For me, painting is an exploration. I may begin with a feeling, but as the colours and dots come together, that feeling can evolve into something unexpected. Feeling Close to the Trees is part of that exploration, expressing the gentle connection I experience with nature.
