180 Your Style

Roll for the elements and follow your inspiration. Or give your style a 180. If you are an outliner, set your timer for 20 minutes and write a short story as fast as you can without stopping. Let the words take you for a ride. If you write you write by the seat of your pants (pantsing), try outlining. Start with one line for each scene. Then expand each to one paragraph, and finally write a complete short story. Did the switch-up change the way you’ll write in the future?
