Detect and highlight words with inconsistent character formatting
GREP Mixed Format Marker is an Adobe InDesign script that finds words whose characters don’t all share the same formatting — a stray bold letter, a different font on one character, an odd point size — and highlights them with Conditional Text so you can spot and fix them. These inconsistencies are easy to miss by eye but common after editing, pasting, or importing text.
You choose which of sixteen formatting aspects to check — from font family and size to leading, scale, baseline shift, language, and character style — and the script marks every word where any chosen aspect varies internally. It can apply one highlight color for all mismatches or a distinct color per format type, and it can narrow the scan to a specific article, paragraph style, or character style.

Included bonus script Conditional Text Navigator 1.2
This script provides a floating palette interface for efficiently navigating through words that have conditional text applied in your document. It automatically scans all stories to locate conditional words, then provides intuitive navigation controls to move between them, jump to specific word numbers, and remove conditions as needed.
