Pouring Sky

The Pouring Sky sock pattern was originally named 'Valuva taivas' in the Finnish sock book 'Tuhansien villasukkien maa'. Please note that the pattern is available for purchase only in English here on Payhip.


Pattern features:

• designed for fingering weight (approximately 400-420 m / 100 g) yarns: 40-50 grams of MC and 30-40 grams of CC
• knitted cuff-down
• instructions written for magic loop but dpns can be used as well
• instructions written in metric and US terminology
• three sizes: small (61 sts), medium (67sts) and large (73 sts)
• simple colourwork followed by textured pattern that repeats the motif of the colourwork
• heel back gusset, narrowish heel turn and heel flap under the heel
• charts but no written instructions for the stranded colourwork and textured patterns
• pattern tech edited and proof read by Helena Kahan
