Kitson Sales Practice Counter: Objection Practice With a Made-Up Buyer, Scored in Code (Opus 5.5)
"It's too expensive." And out comes the speech.
Most of us only practise objections on real customers, and the answer often comes before the question. Kitson Sales Practice Counter is text practice for the objections you really hear, with a made-up buyer, on your computer. It gives you:
- Two ways to practise: paste a practice chat to score, or play a live round, typing your side line by line while Claude Opus 5.5 plays a made-up buyer who raises your own objections.
- A scorecard counted in code: every question you asked, how many were open, your share of the words, whether you summed up the need, whether you offered a clear next step, interruptions and filler words.
- A listening score out of 100 with every point traced to a rule you can read, and the coach's rubric: Claude gives each point a level with a quote from your chat, and the app does the sums.
- Coaching: what you heard, what you missed, a better question to try and one thing to practise next. The app checks every number and every quote in it against your chat.
- A spaced-repetition objection deck that brings your hardest objections back sooner, an answer bank of your own best answers, and progress over your sessions.
What makes it careful
- Text practice only: it never contacts anyone, never records or makes a call, and the buyer is always made up from the app's own lists, never a real, named person.
- It never coaches pressure, fake urgency, guilt or invented facts. A request like that is refused on your computer, with an honest alternative, and is not sent.
- Your practice log stays on your computer. Only your product notes, the type of customer, your objections and price facts (contact details removed), the made-up buyer for the round and the chat are sent to Anthropic; your business name and first name are removed. Nothing is sent to Kitson Workshop. You can see exactly what will be sent before you run it.
- The cost is shown before every run and every live line. In our own test on the made-up sample, scoring a practice chat cost about 7 cents on our own Anthropic account, and a scored chat plus a short live round about 20 cents. Live buyer lines use lighter thinking to keep each line cheap.
- Take it with you: the session in Word (chat, coaching, scorecard), the answer bank in Word and CSV, every table in Excel, and your practice log as a CSV to add next time, so your progress carries on.
What you need
- Free Node.js 18+ (Windows, Mac or Linux).
- Your own objections, in your own words, a few notes about what you sell, and your real price facts. A made-up sample (a plant-care service, a practice chat and a practice log) is in the zip so you can try it first.
- It needs your own Anthropic API key, with a little credit. A Claude chat subscription does not include API access.
You pay Anthropic directly for what you use, on top of the price of the app.

Early release, for educational purposes, made by Kitson Workshop. The counts use English word rules (a question ends in "?"), and a made-up buyer is not your customer: practice cannot promise sales, and the app does not know your customers better than you do. Only use your own notes and practice chats, never recordings of real customers' calls. If we can't get the app running for you, email kit376351@gmail.com within 14 days for a refund of the app price. Fixes are sent to buyers free. Kitson Workshop is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.
