This is a digital pattern - NOT a finished product. Sorry, no returns.

BACTRIAN, because it has two pretty humps and it can carry a lot.
Finished Size: 10-1/2” L x 11” H x 3.5” W (27 cm L x 28 cm H x 9 cm W)

BACTRIAN can hold an iPad plus lots of other items but the slim profile makes it compact for carrying. Pull the straps through the D-rings to convert instantly to a back pack; no need to clip or unclip anything. The suspender-like crossover straps help keep the top of the bag secure while it is on your back. Make BACTRIAN dressy, classic or casual according to fabric choices.

  • Vertical, exterior zippered pockets on both sides for phone or keys
  • Exterior zippers are included in a seam line
  • Straps are “piped” using vinyl tubing for a firm finish
  • Top recessed zipper closure
  • Inside zippered pocket and slip pocket
  • The base is inset and has four bag feet
  • BACTRIAN stands up straight with the aid of foam interfacing
  • The pattern is rated as intermediate because of the fairly narrow inset base and the challenges of the asymmetry.
  • Both drafted pattern pieces and measurements
  • Link to Rapidsizer for printing a pdf of measured pieces.
  • Lots of colour drawings to aid in construction
  • ID tags for keeping the cut pieces organized
  • Alternate choices for straps and finishing at the end of the pattern
  • Flat straps and a quilting-weight cotton will make this an easier project and there is lots of detail for the very confident beginning bag maker.
  • This pattern is rated intermediate because of the tight corners on the inset base.
