Tariff Simulator Executive Briefing puts students in the role of the President, balancing trade policy, political approval, and economic survival in a high stakes strategy game. The country begins with a massive trade deficit, and players must use tariffs, subsidies, trade deals, and domestic investment to rebuild industry and reduce foreign dependence before their approval rating collapses.

The game uses a card based system where each card represents a real economic tool or industry. Steel mills, auto plants, tech startups, farms, and defense contractors act as domestic producers that generate economic power each quarter, while imported goods and foreign competitors attack those industries or directly damage public approval. Tariff and policy cards let players generate revenue, boost approval, or slash the deficit, but every move comes with tradeoffs that mirror real world policy dilemmas.

You receive a doc with a game guide and a student worksheet with a direct link to the game for sharing with your students. If you are a teacher and are worried about the game being blocked by your school's server, contact us; there are two easy ways to make the game available besides the direct link.
