AN ANALYSIS OF THE ROLE OF TECHNOLOGY IN ADVANCING LEGAL STUDIES AND PRACTICES
Technology including Information and Communication Technology (ICT) now plays a quintessential role in legal practice and education. It is becoming increasingly clear in Nigeria as well as a reality that technology is a prerequisite for effective and efficient legal education and practice. This research explores how modern technology is transforming legal education, research, and professional practice. Other objectives of this study are to examine the reasons why legal practitioners and law firms need to embrace the application of technology; to determine the extent to which ICT resources have been introduced in the judiciary and the extent to which they have been used; to examine the challenges to the impact of technology in Nigerian legal education and practice, and recommendations. This research consists of a title page, approval page, certification, abstract, list of abbreviations, Chapters One to Five (from introduction to conclusion), and bibliography.
