Toccata "Lauda Ierusalem"

Celebratory toccata in its original longer version. The short version, called "Bell Toccata", is published by OUP.

Information

The bell sounds played on the manuals were inspired by watching bell-ringing friends practise in the local church. The main melodic theme, heard mostly in the pedals, is based on a psalm setting by the 17th century composer Isabella Leonardo. 

The shorter version in F major (though with several key diversions) was published as "Bell Toccata" by OUP in The Oxford Book of Organ Music by Women Composers (2023).
