Maple

Meet the glorious red maple tree that graces my little Korean garden! In spring she proudly displays her rich shawls of burgundy and carnelian. In summer she shows deep greens and purples and in autumn, she blazes hot with the colors of flames. I painted this in gouache, capturing the vivid, pure hues that grace her limbs. She’s my favorite tree, and she’d make a dramatic yet elegant addition to any nature or tree-lover’s home.
