For as long as the club patterns are released, the ebook The Expedition . Year 3 . The Trails is available at a discounted price! The ebook price will go up with each pattern release.

Along the trail, colorful sandstone rocks rise above me. Their red tones beautifully contrast with the fresh green leaves of the deciduous trees and the dark green needles of the conifers. As the trail winds its way through the hills of the Eifel region, I pause to admire the landscape. The rock formations display fascinating layers of pebbles embedded in red stone, and artful clusters of holes called honeycomb weathering.

The Nidrea cowl is an ode to these geological formations and the artistic riches of Nature. The cowl features stitch patterns with special pass-over cables combined with airy and lacy cables. These create a winding, textured openwork reminiscent of pebbles and honeycomb weathering. Come explore the wonderful world of lacy cables and wrap yourself in elegance!

The cowl name, Nidrea, is derived from Nideggen, a town located in the German Eifel, red sandstone and honeycomb weathering that can be found on the buntsandstein trail.

For best effect, use a round yarn with good stitch definition. Yarn weights ranging from Fingering to DK would be suitable. As for colorways, I would recommend solid, semi-solid, speckled, or gradient (single skein or gradient set) yarns.

Do you like the Nidrea cowl? You might like those patterns too: The Viomée cowl, and the Arboricole cowl. For endless fun with lace and cables! Check them out!
