Having finished her final mission, Kite has graduated and become a fully fledged Seeker, charged with carrying messages and completing missions for her world-walking people. Unfortunately, her new job has turned out to be rather dull, and she misses Saryth, the mage she rescued from slavery, now worlds away and studying magic properly at last. Kite's decision to spice up her travels leads to unexpected complications when her side trip lands her in a world on the brink of revolution.
