[SPH] Hamada Type 1
The Hamada Type 1 is a Japanese semi-automatic pistol developed during World War II as a domestic alternative to foreign-designed handguns. It was designed by Bunji Hamada in the early 1940s and was primarily issued to Imperial Japanese Army officers.
The Hamada Type 1 was chambered in 8×22mm Nambu, the same cartridge used in the Type 14 Nambu pistol and the Type 100 Submachine Gun, ensuring ammunition compatibility. It operated on a simple blowback mechanism and featured a single-action trigger with a magazine capacity of 9 rounds. Its design was heavily inspired by the Browning M1910, incorporating a fixed barrel, internal hammer, and smooth ergonomic grip.
