TikTok Privacy Settings Card: Take Back Control Of Who Sees You

Is Your TikTok More Public Than You Think?

• Strangers can watch every video you've ever posted.
• TikTok may be suggesting your profile to people in your phone contacts and to your Facebook friends.
• Anyone can duet or stitch your videos and put them in front of their own audience.
• Random accounts can message you directly.
• Other people can see exactly when you're online.
• Apps you connected years ago may still have access to your account.

TikTok's settings tend to favor reach over privacy. Whether you post every day or just scroll, a few changes decide who sees your videos and who can contact you.

The TikTok Privacy Settings Card puts those changes on one printable page. Each item is a setting you can find and change in a couple of minutes, and you don't have to delete the app.

What's inside:

✅ Account Privacy: switch to a private account, hide your account from suggestions, and limit who can find you by phone number or contacts.

✅ Control Interactions: decide who can comment, duet and stitch. Set direct messages to Friends or No One, and keep your liked videos private.

✅ Data & Personalization: turn off personalized ads, hide your activity status, and remove connected apps you no longer use.

✅ Account Security: turn on two-factor authentication, use a strong password you don't use anywhere else, and check Login Activity for devices you don't recognize.

✅ Pro Tip: the one "Suggest your account to others" setting that stops TikTok recommending your profile to people you know.

Who it's for:

• TikTok users who want more privacy
• Teens and college students
• Parents reviewing a teen's account with them
• Small creators
• Professionals who keep a personal account private

Why it works: It's short, clear and easy for beginners. Print it, go through the settings once, and you're done.
