Teacher & Paraprofessional Daily Communication Log | Weekly Planning Pages
Teachers and paras often go a whole week passing each other in the hallway and trying to catch up at the copier. Important stuff falls through: a schedule change, a hard morning, a question that never got asked. A daily log fixes that in about three minutes.
What's included:
• A daily two way log: teacher to para before the day, para to teacher at the end
• A 10 minute weekly planning page for Fridays
• A first meeting agreement page for the start of the year or a new para
How I'd use it:
Keep it in one spot both of you pass every day, like a clipboard by the door. The para side matters most: "Questions for you" and "What I need" are where you find out what is really going on. Do the first meeting page together in week one. Editable Word file included.
The log works for one teacher and one para, or a whole team with several paras. Keep the past logs in a folder. By November they are a record of what happened, what you tried, and how kids responded, which is handy at a parent meeting or an IEP review. The weekly page keeps everyone looking ahead instead of reacting all week.
Who it's for: Teachers and paras. Grades K 12.
What you download: one printable PDF, 3 pages, US Letter, plus an editable Word file so you can type in it.
