Mrs Weasley’s Cardigan – Crochet Along Pattern

Create your own Mrs Weasley-inspired cardigan! 🧶✨

This crochet-along was a real labour of love.

Rather than creating a cardigan using randomly chosen stitches, I spent many hours studying the original cardigan and trying to decipher the stitches, textures and details that give it its wonderfully distinctive appearance.

Some sections were reasonably easy to interpret. Others were much more challenging! Where I couldn't confidently determine the original stitch, I experimented and designed stitch combinations that I felt captured the look and character of the original while fitting naturally alongside the surrounding sections.

The result is my interpretation of an authentic-looking Mrs Weasley-inspired cardigan, filled with interesting textures, unusual stitches and plenty of personality.

This is a Crochet Along (CAL), and you'll also find accompanying video tutorials on Sam's Yarn Basket to guide you through the project. These are particularly helpful for some of the less familiar and specially created stitch patterns used throughout the cardigan.
