A gorgeously slow, rhapsodic take on one of Fats' signature tunes. This take was withheld in favour of the Una Mae Carlisle sung version that is more commonly known. What a hidden treasure this performance was!

Note the harmonically adventurous introduction complete with cleanly executed Db and B LH tenths - oh to have such a hand span! Starting on the relative minor of the home key of Ab and confidently wandering through various chromatic modulations eventually resolving back to the home key, demonstrates the sophisticated harmonic sensibility Fats possessed.

Regarding the cascading runs, I took the liberty of "correcting" the brushed notes Fats plays here. From experience, (i.e. Numb Fumbling, etc) I know what Fats meant to play note-wise so for the sake of a "clean" score I took it upon myself to "correct" these notes. Perhaps it's reassuring that even a virtuoso like Fats was not mechanically "perfect". Note only two 4-note patterns are happening here (in different registers obviously). Understanding these two patterns will make it easier to execute these runs.

Pardon the typo in the credits: transcibed = transcribed.
